During his 19 years at Wilbraham & Monson Academy, including the last four as head of school, Mr. Brian Easler has earned the respect of literally thousands of people connected to the Academy.
People outside of WMA are starting to take notice, too.
Among the more than 200 heads of school in North America, Mr. Easler was one of just four selected to give a presentation to new heads at The Association of Boarding Schools Conference in Boston Nov. 30.
"I hope I can lend some of my own advice to people there who are just starting," said Mr. Easler, who was asked two months ago to serve as a faculty member at the New Heads Symposium: Supporting the Unique Life and Work of a Boarding School Leader.
"I'll bring the uniqueness of an internal transition," Mr. Easler explained. "There are likely to be people at the workshop who are internal transitions. There will be an agenda, and they'll give me pieces of that, but what I got out of it when I went was a lot of little pearls of wisdom."
With a successful $1 million fundraising campaign and detailed master plan to his credit in a short period of time, not to mention his many years as a Dean of Students, Mr. Easler has plenty of intriguing pearls to share.
"I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences and meeting news heads of school," he said.
