The Wilbraham & Monson Academy Baseball team again made the most of its preseason trip to Florida, going 4-1 against teams from throughout the East Coast at Vero Beach March 9-11.
The Titans played at Historic Dodgertown, where the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers once held their spring training.
WMA beat teams from New Jersey (twice), Virginia and Pennsylvania. The only team the Academy lost to was a team from Florida that had already played more than eight regular season games.
"On the field in Florida, guys played various positions and looked like they had played eight games, when in reality they had five hours of practice," Coach Jim Irzyk said. "We have an opportunity to compete in a very talented division."
Fourteen players made the trip south for WMA, which has been going to Dodgertown in March since 2013.
