The Wilbraham & Monson Academy Girls' Basketball team has beaten every opponent convincingly during its current winning streak.
The Titans' latest victim was rival Williston Northampton School, which WMA beat 60-43 at home Jan. 27.
Kayla Mokwuah '18 and the Academy's eight-player rotation was once again too much as the Titans won their ninth game in a row, which have all been by double digits.
"I'm really proud of the girls," Coach Durelle Brown said. "I think we adjusted to a hungry Williston team. It was fun because it felt like a rivalry game."
WMA got up 15-2 before Williston pulled within three, 22-19. But the Academy started taking better shots and defending, which spurred the hosts to a 40-30 lead at the break.
"I'm proud of the girls because we adjusted to the speed of Williston and the physicality of Williston and met the challenge," Coach Brown said.
With George Washington University head coach Jennifer Rizzotti in the WMA bleachers, Kayla went for 22 points to lead the Titans. Courtney Thrun '17 picked the perfect time to score her season high, netting 13 with an assistant from the New Jersey Institute of Technology scouting her.
Meera Miller, who will play at Skidmore College next season, added nine points.
