It didn't take long for Alex Debelov '06 to make a name for himself while he was here at Wilbraham & Monson Academy.
And it didn't take Alex long to make a global name for himself in the world of business.
Alex will be the guest speaker at Wilbraham & Monson Academy's Commencement on May 28 at 10 a.m.
"We're thrilled for Alex to speak at Commencement for two reasons," Head of School Brian Easler said. "One, it's his 10th reunion. But, he's also done some significant things with his time. In 10 short years, he has built a company where he now, I believe, has five international offices."
Alex is the co-founder and CEO of Virool, an online video advertising company that helps customers' videos get noticed. His start-up, which he began in 2012, has 30,000 customers throughout the world. In January he was named to the prestigious Forbes 30 Under-30 list in the Marketing and Advertising category. Only 600 people in the world are selected to the 30 Under-30 list annually.
"Alex was a particularly dynamic and energetic student when he was here," Mr. Easler said. "He designed his entrepreneurial interests here at WMA and that's why he went to Babson. He developed this plan at Babson then put it into reality after he left Babson, and look where he is 10 years later. His business is worldwide and he's a whirlwind. And, he's very charismatic. I look forward to hearing him speak to the school."
Also while at Babson, Alex co-founded the Kairos Society, through which he hoped to unite student entrepreneurs throughout the United States. The club rapidly grew to become the largest student entrepreneur organization in the world.
