Some kids just know.
Wilbraham & Monson Academy's Jack Robinson '19 knew, making his decision where he wanted to attend and play collegiate lacrosse the moment he stepped onto the campus at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire.
Jack made his decision official Dec. 5, signing his National Letter of Intent to play for the Division II Hawks during a ceremony in the Athletic Center Board Room at WMA.
Quotes from Jack:
On his first visit to St. Anselm: "I went in August (of 2018) with my family and visited. I went around campus with the coach. He showed me the facilities and I fell in love with it. I knew right when I stepped on campus this was where I wanted to spend my next four years. It was a great experience."
On why he chose St. Anselm: "St. Anselm had the full package I was looking for in a school, with the great academics, great community and great athletics. It's also in a great area. I wanted to stay local because I wanted my family to come and see my games. I love the coaches and I've met some of the players. It's a beautiful campus and was everything I was looking for."
On signing his NLI: "It was great to have my family, some faculty and my teammates, some I've been teammates with since third grade. It's special. All seven seniors are going to play college lacrosse."
Coach Mike MacDonald on Jack: "Jack brings a whole lot to the table for us. Believe it or not, really since his freshman year, he's been the quarterback for our offense. He's also a left-handed player; he's the second left-handed player I've coached in nine years. Having that versatility and someone who can play multiple positions goes a long way. When coaches see kids like that, those kids are high on recruiting lists."
